Contributor comments: 'Artwork labeled as a "valkyrie" from Pinterest. It does depict a stereotypical norse woman (blonde hair and fair skinned) as well as her having wings and a helmet sort of thing. Also she has the handle to what I assume is a spear.'
Taken at Vikingar in Largs Scotland. This Viking experience is not a museum so people can touch and interact with the display while being told about the way of life by someone dressed as a Viking. It’s a beautiful little experience that is worth a visit! Created by local historians and it talks about a great battle that happened in Largs.

The so called "Loki Stone" from Kirkby Stephen Church (Cumbria), probably tenth century. It depicts a bound figure, possibly Loki, or the bound devil (or an amalgamation of the two), and was probably once part of a cross shaft.
Nisse Zetterberg's artistic design is based on the archaeological finds from the Viking Age that have been discovered in the area. These small finds have been enlarged into golden mosaics set on the rust-red rock walls. At Rinkeby metro station in Stockholm, passengers descend into a rust-red cave lined with gleaming gold mosaics depicting Viking Age artefacts excavated from the surrounding area. Nisse Zetterberg designed and executed these mosaics together with two colleagues, and they were inaugurated in 1975.
